Recently, we released our OpenTheBooks Oversight Report - Federal & State Government's Gender Hiring Gap - Gender Study of Highly Compensated Public Employees.

We found that top-paid men outnumber women 66 to one in New York City government and nine to one in Rahm Emanuel's Chicago. Across the states, just two in ten top earners were women.

The very politicians alleging gender bias in the private-sector workplace are simultaneously leading government payrolls with massive genders gaps among top-paid positions.

That's hypocrisy!

Illinois politicians are some of the worst offenders: Dick Durbin, Rahm Emanuel, Penny Pritzker... all control(ed) government payrolls with massive gender hiring gaps. Learn more, click here.

Even House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi paid - among full-time employees working for the year - her female staffers $30,000 less than men.

Read our Real Clear Policy analysis of the top 25 Federal Agencies. Men outnumber women two to one in top-paid positions. Within Veterans Affairs, it's nine to one!

It's still a man's world in government. Fifty years after women started entering the workforce in droves, generations of "fearless girls" still haven't created significant change in government's most lucrative hiring practices.
