The U.S. national debt is soon expected to pass $35 trillion yet both Democrats and Republicans continue spending money the country doesn't have. Both sides have earmarked billions of dollars in pet projects for their districts.

“In Congress, there's a self-styled fiscal conservative caucus called the Freedom Caucus. They were founded in 2015 expressly to stop Washington, D.C. politicians from overspending and bankrupting the country,” Adam Andrzejewski, CEO/Founder of OpenTheBooks said. “But when we did an audit of earmarks just recently, we found 22 members of that caucus on the naughty list."
