We first broke this story to you on May 28th, here. Then multiple state employee whistleblowers verified more specifics, and we updated our story on July 11th, here. Yesterday, the Chicago Tribune filled in additional details and published, here.

Our research team has worked this story for nine months. We’ve collected over 1,000 documents.

We told you that the Quinn administration circumvented procurement on up to $190 million of no-bid IT contracts with questionable vendors. One vendor is Client Network Services, Inc. (CNSI) who has a multi-state track record of litigation and few friends, here.

We highlighted the very questionable vendor track record in Maine, Michigan, Louisiana, South Dakota, and Washington. Why is this vendor even on the federally approved vendor list?

The Tribune "watchdog" reporter added some additional details and quotes.

Also, the Tribune re-published the Illinois press release talking points that taxpayers are saving millions. Call us skeptical… Illinois can’t prove these illusory savings.

Federal & State taxpayers are at great risk. Our most vulnerable citizens ARE served by Medicaid- AND THEY deserve better.

Soon, we’ll completely Open The Books on this boondoggle.

Stay tuned for a lot more…
