WASHINGTON (SBG) - Watchdog group Open the Books took a close look at the highly debated $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill to see what could be hidden inside.

Open The Books’ Adam Andrzejewski says that included in the bill is a “hike in fines by tenfold” from OSHA regarding the vaccine mandate.

“If this rule passes, if these fines pass, a tenfold increase up to $700,000 per willful and repeated violation of the vaccine mandate,” said Andrzejewski to Scott Thuman on The National Desk.

Andrzejewski claims that these fines could potentially bankrupt companies.

“There’s a lot of arbitrary elements to this. There’s a lot of questions on this,” said Andrzejewski. “But the bottom line is that the administration is serious and they are coming after the private sector.”

According to an Open the Books report, California state prison guards will receive more than $500 million in pay raises in the next budget due to a legislature loophole.

“Taxpayers are going to be footing the bill for another half a billion dollars worth of compensation to the prison guards,” said Andrzejewski. “Now the prison guards are going to make six figures, on average $101,000 a year to be a prison guard and the state of California.”
